Club News for August

July 30, 2018

Good news everyone.  Special starting this week, the Barrie Rowing Club is launching Tuesday and Thursday evenings as Club nights.

All members and this summer’s Learn-to-Row graduates are invited to come and row from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  All boats need to be launched no later than 6:15 pm and be off the water by 7:15 pm. These on-the-water sessions will replace the Monday Club night which conflicts with the Barrie Canoe & Kayak Club.

There is a series of indoor classes starting this week on Wednesdays, 6:15 to 7:15 pm with Ted.  Folks attending Ted’s classes are welcome to come and use the ergs on Tues and Thurs nights as well at no extra cost.

The Club will be closed on Monday evenings as of next week (August 6th.)

OUR FLIP DAY IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 11TH DURING THE EARLY ROW.   It’s a good idea to practise so come out to find out how to get back in a boat after getting wet!  Have fun and learn something you may one day find you need.

Happy rowing.
